2019 Dec 23 Update: David lost everything dear to him in the Adelaide Hills fire. And because “hopes and prayers” are meaningless, the only way we can really help is to buy some wines from his collections and help rebuild his life.

Valpolicella and the wild east

A big part of the Valpolicella lies to the east. Being furthest away from Lake Garda, the eastern side of the region experiences notable continental. But never undermine the talents of these winemakers. In the best hands, even a 17 per cent alcohol behemoth can perform like a tightrope walker.
